The CITS qualification is not to be given a mere preference but is mandatory
The equivalence of Regular & RPL CITS not having been reckoned and
The action of the State was discriminatory insofar as the Short Term/ Guest Lecturers, who are discharging the very same duties and are similarly situated as the contractual employees, were not granted the weightage for the years they continued in the service of the State in the same manner as the contractual employees were continued.

Eligibility of Instructor for appearing in AITT under RPL

The aspirant should have basic qualifications viz. ITI/diploma/degree in that broad sector.
The aspirant should have a minimum age limit of 25 years and a maximum age limit of 62 years on the specified cut-off date.
The instructor (regular/contractual (long-term contact)) has at least 03 years of teaching experience in the institute.
The instructor should be sponsored by the institute to apply in this scheme to appear in AITT for RPL under CITS to be conducted by DGT or could apply on his/her own.
The instructor must be registered with the National Instructional Media Institute (NIMI) online portal at least two months before the scheduled examination date. The instructor has to submit an experience/service certificate from the State Directorate/Principal.
In case of candidates claiming experience from Pvt. ITIs should produce EPF/ESCI slips.
