Engagement Criteria for Safaiwala Position on Contractual Basis:

• Candidates with qualifications equivalent to or below 10th class (unskilled) are eligible to apply for the Safaiwala position.
• The age range for candidates applying for the Safaiwala position is between 18 to 45 years.
• A Fitness Certificate issued by a registered general physician (MBBS minimum) is mandatory for medically fit candidates.
• Remuneration for the contractual Safaiwala will adhere to the minimum wages set by the state.
• Working hours for Railway Safaiwalas are 8 hours per day from 09:30 hrs. To 18:00 hrs, with a half-hour lunch break from 13:30 hrs to 14:00 hrs on all working days.
• Confidentiality is of utmost importance, as any breach of information may lead to legal repercussions.
• Absenteeism will result in pro-rata deductions from the individual’s payable amount, calculated at 1/30th of the lump sum per day of absence.
• Termination of the contractual engagement can be initiated with a one-month notice from either party.
• The contractual engagement is limited to a period not exceeding 11 months from the acceptance of the terms and conditions or until the positions are filled by Zonal Railways, whichever occurs first.
• Extension of the contractual engagement for an additional 11 months is possible based on mutual agreement and the candidate’s performance.
• Engagement as a Safaiwala under this scheme does not imply an official appointment with the Railway Claims Tribunal or Railways.
• Recovery of costs may be enforced for any intentional damage or loss caused by the contracted individual to equipment or property.
• Falsification of information in the application will lead to immediate termination without justification.
• Candidates are responsible for their own transportation and accommodations, as no TA/DA will be provided for Test/Interview attendees.
• The selection interview for the Safaiwala position may be canceled without prior notice.
